Today we're pleased to announce that the Louis Thorold Foundation has been officially approved as a charity by the charities commission and is now formally registered in England and Wales (1194891).
Our mission is simple:
To prevent the deaths of young children on Britain's roads.
We will do this by:
Promoting the advancement of road safety for children
Supporting victims of child road violence and supporting emergency responders
Raising funds through various charitable activities
Funding in research surrounding child road safety and rehabilitative treatment
Campaigning to make the UK's roads safer
We're delighted to announce our board of trustees who will make this happen on our journey to a world where no child dies on Britain's roads:
Chris Thorold - Louis' Father
Rachael Thorold - Louis' Mother
Claire Ashworth - Louis' Auntie
Richard Thorold - Louis' Grandfather
We'll be publishing further details about our campaigns over the coming months, but I'd like to thank all of those who have supported us so far in achieving this major milestone. Louis' life may have been short, but the journey has only just begun.
